if you are interested in the writings of george storrs, you will be excited to learn that one of the biggest finds in old adventist literature is now on barbara anderson's website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com.
the book is mentioned in jehovah's witnesses-proclaimers of god's kingdom, page 48 in the footnote as follows:.
*the expression "watch tower" is not unique to russell's writings or to jehovah's witnesses.

Hi freetosee. I can see why you waited until you reached that magic number (1111) before you posted this ultra-significant Apple easy to use interface. I can't wait. I was so impressed by that video that I've been trying to reach Apple to see if they'll take my wife's iPad in as trade.

what happened at watchtower in 2001?
... the 2001 blood card that wasthen wasnt.. .
i have added a new article addressing a unique event that occurred in year 2001 involving a change watchtower made on its no-blood cards, and then changed back.
Marvin, this is a great expose. It's yet another arrow in our quiver that is full of Watchtower contradictions (flip-flops). Hey, we all know about how Watchtower despises contradictory teachings -- they despise them as shown by the following Watchtower quotation.
"Why must we accept everything that the churches teach when many of the teachings are confusing and contradictory?" The Watchtower, 2003, 12/1 p. 4.
They've even gone so far as to claim they don't do it themselves.
"However, it may have seemed to some as though that path has not always gone straight forward. At times explanations given by Jehovah’s visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view. But this has not actually been the case. This might be compared to what is known in navigational circles as "tacking." By maneuvering the sails the sailors can cause a ship to go from right to left, back and forth, but all the time making progress toward their destination in spite of contrary winds." The Watchtower, 1981, 12/1 p. 27
Of course, we know different and thanks to this well organized arrangement of their own writings that you've put together, Marvin -- we have another great tool. Who knows how many lurker JWs will see this as yet another chink in Watchtower armor.

washington (reuters) four americans on a yacht taken over by pirates were killed near somalia, cnn reported on tuesday, citing u.s. defense officials.. the americans were apparently shot during negotiations, cnn reported.
yahoo news is reporting it.
.
This from Wikipedia
A United Nations report and several news sources have suggested that piracy off the coast of Somalia is caused in part by illegal fishing and the dumping of toxic waste in Somali waters by foreign vessels that have, according to Somali fishermen, severely constrained the ability of locals to earn a living and forced many to turn to piracy instead. [4] [5] Other articles allege that 70 percent of the local coastal communities "strongly support the piracy as a form of national defense of the country's territorial waters", and that the pirates believe they are protecting their fishing grounds and exacting justice and compensation for the marine resources stolen. [6] [7] [8] Some pirates have suggested that, in the absence of an effective national coast guard following the outbreak of the Somali Civil Warand the subsequent disintegration of the Armed Forces, they became pirates in order to protect their waters. This belief is also reflected in the names taken on by some of the pirate networks, such as the National Volunteer Coast Guard (NVCG). [5]
I personally believe that this is pure rationalization on the part of groups of greedy rogue thugs.

does anyone have scans of certain golden age magazines?
specifically, i'm looking for the following articles:.
"the ehret system of elimination", golden age, march 20, 1929, p.
Darn, I had access to 1929 Golden Age s a few months ago when I was in New York and was able to look up any article....I put a query in my GAG thread but no one responded.
Hmmm ... that is unfortunate, Leo. Do you reckon if an old apostate like me visited Bethel, they'd let me take my point-and-shoot camera (it does great copy work) inside their library? Ha!
Hi Processor, and thanks for the offer. But I have Ehret's book on the subject and I needed it in English for visual support of an article I've written.
That is interesting, VM44. The only person I knew of that used that cure was the congregation servant (the PO at that time) of Marshalltown, Iowa. The year was 1956. This young teenager (me) met him in a convalescent home in nearby Story City. Willard was one of a clan of Bridgmans that had roots in the Org from the early 30's. Willard never made it out of that home alive.

I carefully read that legally-couched email to that inquiring sister. I see nothing different than their boilerplate from the 2000 and 2004 Watchtowers

Beyond that, when it comes to fractions of any of the primary components, each Christian, after careful and prayerful meditation, must conscientiously decide for himself.
Reading between the lines -- but if you decide for yourself to accept the fractions we will cut you off like Lorena Bobbit did to John .

subject of the show: "is this a cult?".
i hope they do a good job, my wife watches him every day.. hope steve hassan is a guest..
My wife watches his show regularly, and from DVR (digital video recorder). I only have capability to transfer to VHS but I'm confident that with some guidance, could somehow put relevent portions over to DVD.
But why? Are we certain that JW's will be one of those discussed cults?

What a shame.
Yes, a great shame if they were destroyed. There is a wealth of many of those publications online in several archival web sites. However, Golden Age issues are scarce during many of its published years.

Does anyone have scans of certain Golden Age magazines? Specifically, I'm looking for the following articles:
Those, plus any articles which reference Professor Ehret or Johanna Brandt with descriptions of their grape cures.
